Roller shutter
Roller shutter doors are constructed of several 75 x 0.8mm galvanized slats which is interlocked to form the overall height of the shutter. The slats are fixed with nylon or PVC end stop to insure a smoother and longer lasting operation. Bottom rail provides strength and is formed of a steel “T” section to reduce the amount of deflection.
The roller shutters is constructed of 3mm mild steel. The doors runs vertically inside the channel guide or “U” section. The slats roll up inside the canopy area of the shutter and a tempered helical spring is installed for counter balance.
The motors shaft runs on a bearing which is mounted on a support bearing.
The unit can be operated manual or automatic.
Automated:
The size of the roller shutter is dependent of the size of the motor. The shutter can be operated on remotes or automated electronics.
Manual:
Chain operated or roll up it the two options available. Chain operated depending on the size of the shutter can be single or double reduction gears for ease of operation. Roll up is smaller types of shutters.
